Ultrasonic Cable Welding Machine for Industrial Cable Connections

What is an ultrasonic cable welding machine?

Magntek's ultrasonic cable welding machine enables high-precision and reliable cable connections for industrial applications. It is suitable for welding copper, aluminum, and high-voltage cables and is used in the automotive industry, electric mobility, and electronics manufacturing.

The packaging processes for power semiconductors, such as IGBT and SiC modules, place the highest demands on welding precision, process stability, and cleanroom compatibility. Thanks to the advantages of ultrasonic technology—including material-bonded solid-state joining, solder-free processes, low thermal stress, and high precision—it is now widely used in key manufacturing steps such as terminal welding, pin bonding, and aluminum and copper wire bonding.

Compared to conventional soldering methods, ultrasonic welding offers significantly lower contact resistance, higher thermal conductivity, and a reliable, cleaning-free manufacturing process. Since the entire process takes place without filler materials or harmful emissions, the technology meets the high requirements of modern automotive power electronics in terms of long-term reliability and process reliability.
